The Dallas World Aquarium

Avery's 1st grade class was studying the ocean and the animals that inhabit the ocean in their Science studies at the end of February. I was fortunate enough to attend the field trip with them and document their expedition at the Dallas World Aquarium. They were so excited about seeing all of the animals.

This is part of her class.

To make it easier to see all the exhibits, we were broken up into groups so we could all go at our own pace. Avery's group really liked seeing the spotted stingrays.

I liked the flamingos. Their colors are so vibrant. These two really hit it off.

One of their favorite exhibits had this beautiful cat...

It was very pretty and it kept coming right up to the glass.

I think this was a blowfish like the one from Nemo that was so cute! However, in this picture it looks kind of icky!

Part of the aquarium had this large tunnel where you were encased in water with sharks and other large creatures swimming all around us.

This is one of the sharks that literally hovered over our heads. It didn't look real at all.

The face on this shark is so mesmerizing. We couldn't help but stare at it.

This octopus was one of the last animals the class saw. It kept crawling up the glass and hanging off the side.

This is Avery's 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Santone. We loved her sooo much! We wish her all the best in her future plans to stay at home with her baby girl, Grace, and possibly have another little one. Thank you, Mrs. Santone for everything you did for Avery this year!
