Happy Halloween!!

We still have enough candy from Halloween! The night couldn't have been more pleasant which meant we went to more houses than usual for our trick-or-treating this year.

There are a couple of "must-stops" on the tour of homes in our neighborhood. For the last couple of years, we've gone with a big group of friends and their children. It turned out we had about 10 kids and just as many parents for the "single night of legalized extortion" as one of them put it. (That quote was just too great not to include!)

Every year this house puts on a different show...I mean they REALLLLLLY get into it. I bet you couldn't guess what happened.

When the scarecrow jumped up and scared everyone, the kids scattered! We were so torn between comforting the kids and laughing until we cried.
After the festivities and routine candy searches for contraband (insufficiently packaged and too good for the kids to keep) we all headed home.
Avery couldn't leave without one last picture as Obie One Kenobe. She cracks herself up!!
