Avery's recital number was called "Buttons & Bows". Her costume was perfect for her!
Bella's tap number was "Heel & Step". It was a pretty basic number because her class changed dance teachers mid-year so they had to start from scratch. However, the costumes were sooooo adorable and Bella loved that it had so many feathers and sequins.
They both did so great and neither had stage fright considering they were dancing in front of a packed house in a new high school auditorium.
Sheena's Dance Academy has grown so much over the last four years that they had multiple shows over a 2-weekend period of time. The show is so professional with numbers performed by the older dancers, show groups and some of the teachers. The girls' favorite was the "Dream Girls" takeoff number at the end of the show. We got a glimpse of what it will be like when they go to Disney next summer when we saw Bella staring at one of the dancers after the show. They just knew she was the real deal. She was so sweet to both of them and even played along enough to take pictures with both of them!
After their fabulous performance, the only thing that was left to do was....get ice cream! There's nothing like tutus and ice cream! Between you and me, I think they were more excited about everyone seeing them in their costumes and commenting on how beautiful the "ballerinas" were. :)
Or maybe it was the game of hopscotch with Daddy...

That Hopscotch picture is precious. What a fun memory for the girls to have of them with their dad.
Have a Merry Christmas!
